RUGER No. 1 International Single-Shot Rifle, Model 1362, 30-06 Springfield Caliber, 20" Blued Barrel, Walnut Mannlicher Stock
More than 120 years ago, the "Golden Age" of American target shooting at Creedmoor was characterized by the single-shot rifle and the demanding type of shooting it represented. In 1966, Ruger produced the first modern single-shot centerfire rifle, the Ruger No. 1. Today, it is still the best in its class, combining modern design with the classic beauty of a century ago.
It's action is designed to handle today's powerful cartridges. A compact, strong, simple breech mechanism allows the Ruger No. 1 single-shot to be made with a minimum of mechanical contraptions. The ejector mechanism is designed to provide great leverage at the point where the ejector engages the rim or groove of the cartridge case. It can be adjusted to provide extraction only. A sliding shotgun-type tang safety provides both security and ease of operation.
